The Defense Security Service requires Facility Security Officers to complete correspondence courses in order to better understand the National Industrial Security Program.  These courses are now availible throug the Defense Security Service Academy.  Visit the Academy's web page for information on registration and course requirements.

All new Facility Security Officers should register for Essentials To Industrial Security Management.

Facilities with safeguarding should also register for Protecting Secret and Confidential Documents.
