When calling for the status of a personnel clearance, please have the applicant's full name, date and place of birth, social security number and current CAGE code available.   Please do not make status inquiries for an individual more than once every two weeks.  Because of time constraints, they can only respond to five inquiries per call.

In addition to the number provided above, you may verify Facility Clearances through the Internet at the following e-mail address: occ_facilities@mail.dss.mil

Or, it can be done on the internet using the Central Verification Authority (CVA) by going to www.dss.mil and following the link to CVA.  Note: Registration is needed to access CVA on the Internet.
